"Studio 60" To Be Cancelled Rumors

There are rumors that NBC's high pushed show "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" is to be canceled. The critics have not been kind to the show and the ratings haven't been that stellar so anything is possible. The show is expensive to produce with a large cast and NBC has recently announced that it is cutting costs by putting game shows and less expensive programming such as reality shows in the 8pm hour. After pushing the show so heavily with things such as having the show available on Netflix before its premiere for example it would be a surprise if NBC gave up so easily. Recently NBC has shown repeats of "Friday Night Lights" its other struggling drama on many nights in order to help the show gain viewers. NBC recently ordered three more scripts for "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" and I hope give the show another time slot or at least finish the season before making a decision on the shows fate although in the current market the show could be yanked tomorrow.

Coal Miner & Wife Survive On Amazing Race 10

David the coal miner from Kentucky and his wife Mary last night avoided elimination for the second time on last nights Amazing Race on CBS. On last nights show the couple from Kentucky came in last again but as was the last time this happened this leg was a non elimination leg. On next weeks episode they must come in first or be subject to a thirty minute penalty which could put them out of the race. Last time they were helped by the brothers Erwin and Godwin to survive who is part of a six way alliance called "The Six Pack" but that alliance seems weak. The question concerning the brothers are they helping the others because they don't really care about winning or are they keeping slowing competitors in the race so they will be easier to beat in the end. This show is always interesting and actioned packed and im looking forward to next weeks episode.

The creators of "South Park" Matt Stone and Trey Parker have announced that in an upcoming episode they will make fun of naturalist Steve Irwin's death. The episode will have Steve Irwin at a celebrity party hosted by Satan and he will be shown with the barb through his chest. This episode is in poor taste but South Park is known for doing things like this so its not really that big of a surprise, although im sure many people may be offended.

"Jericho" Message From Homeland Security

The people of "Jericho"receive a message from the outside world its a prerecorded message from Homeland Security telling them to stay put because help is on the way. The power returns to the town and people start to hope that things are becoming more normal. This is short lived as power surges and power lines which go down cause fires to break out all over town. The show airs tonight at 8pm on CBS. Im one of the millions of people that enjoy this new show which is like "Lost" but in a present day town in the Midwest with all the worries of nuclear war and terrorism that are in the news right now. When I first watched the commercials for this show I thought it might be depressing but its not and shows how normal people overcome in extreme circumstances.

The show starring Timothy Hutton and Dana Delany looking for their kidnapped teenage son has struggled in the ratings. The show was 67th in last weeks ratings with 6.3 miilion viewers which was down from 7.6 million from its premiere. CBS Orders More Episodes of "The Unit"

The original order was for 13 episodes this year, but the new order brings that total up to 22 episodes. The show got a 13.2 million viewers in its latest outing and averaged 15 million last year. This wasn't a show I watched last year but have seen it this year and must say its a very good show. It shows the lives of wives and family at a military base as well as the members of "The Unit" a top secret military group as they do there missions around the world. So the show is a mixture of drama with some intense action scenes and some very good acting, definetly worth a look.

NBC CEO Not Happy With "Kidnapped" Ratings

Bob Wright the CEO of NBC has said he is not happy with the ratings for the new NBC show "Kidnapped." The show had 7.5 million viewers for the premiere and this weeks viewership had dropped to 6.3 million viewers. The drop is huge for a show from one week to the next and doesn't bode well for the show. The show had a lead in for 7 million from the previous show "The Biggest Loser" but didn't even keep all that audience.
