New "Criminal Intent" DA Has Left Already

The new district attorney on Law & Order Criminal Intent has left the series soon after production began on the sixth season. Nona Gaye the daughter of the late great soul singer Marvin Gaye has left because of what had been said were creative differences. The Law & Order shows in general have been known for their great acting and writing and im sure however they put in that role will do well.

Karaoke Pilot Given Go Ahead On CBS

CBS has ordered a pilot for in my opinion maybe the most annoying show ever. The show is called "The Singing Office" and gives office karaoke singers the chance to compete. Connie Chung singing on a piano on MSNBC doesn't sound as bad anymore.

Babylon 5 returns!

One of the greatest sci-fi series of all time will return in a series of direct-to-DVD mini movies. They will be written and directed by J. Michael Straczynski and we can expect the first set to be released during the second quarter of 2007.

I never got in to this show when it was on television but it does have a large and loyal fan base so it should do well.

Madonna Concert Coming To NBC

Madonna is bringing a two hour concert special to NBC in November. Madonna in the past has had concerts on HBO but NBC is billing this show as her first ever broadcast network show. The concert is part of her "Confessions Tour" and will be filmed in London's Wembley and feature music from her latest album "Confessions on a Dance Floor" as well as past hits. To me its amazing that a singer with not the greatest singing voice has been a master at promotion and pushing boundaries to keep herself in the public eye for over twenty years.

AM Station Tops LA Ratings First Time In 20yrs

In the recent Los Angeles ratings a AM station has topped the ratings for the first time in 20 years. The station KFI 640am tied with a spanish station for the number one position. Whats interesting is a good part of the ratings increase is because of its morning show host Bill Handel who is said to have gained a lot of Howard Sterns listeners when he went to Sirrus. The interesting part is Bill Handels show is nothing like Howard Sterns. Bill Handel talks about the news issues of the day and gives his opinion. I guess this means that in an age of Sirrus and XM radio as well as FM radio that an AM station can still survive and top the ratings.

Gordon Ramsey To Host Talk Show

The tough british chef on Fox's Hell's Kitchen Gordan Ramsey is going to get his own talk show on Fox. The show Gordan was quoted as saying will be full of irreverent stuff and with be interesting. Gordan recently bought a large loft style apartment in New York and his current show on Fox Hell's Kitchen is getting good ratings.

Second Season Of HBO's Rome To Be Last

The second season of the epic show Rome on HBO is to be its last and will start in January 2007. The main reason the show is being cancelled is because the show is an epic production with the first season costing $100 million dollars and the second season another $24 million dollars. The show produced by the BBC and Italy's RAI was a very well done show and done very realistically which because of the cost was ultimately its undoing.

ABC Stays Stronger Housewives This Season

When ABC's hit show Housewives returns for its third season on September 24th the network president Stephen McPherson has said the show will be much stronger. The show last season was slammed by critics and slighted by the Emmy's. The shows original creater Marc Cherry is returning to the show to be the sole executive producer of the show. The show enjoyed strong ratings last year and was the forth highest rated show on television so the stakes are high for ABC to have great stories so the ratings don't slip.

Buffy & Dawson On WB's Last Day

When the WB ends for good on Sunday September 17th they are rebroadcasting the pilots of some of its signature shows. The schedule is as follows 5pm Felicity, 6pm-8pm Buffy The Vampire Slayer and the last show ever on the WB is Dawsons Creek at 9pm. The evenning will also include classic WB promos and clips from its eleven year history. I think this is a classy way to end for the network before the CW takes over.

Time Warner & Comcast Get Approval From FCC

Time Warner and Comcast got approval from the FCC on Thursday to complete their take over of troubled Adelphia cable by a 4 to 1 vote. The companies hope to close the deal by July 31st and plan on swapping several cable systems with each other. In Orange County, California where I live that means that Time Warner will take over the Comcast and Adelphia systems so it will have a near monopoly in this county. Time Warner has always offered the best prices and packages but i wonder if that will still happen when we go from three big cable companies to one.

First One Voted Out Of Big Brother All Stars

The first contestant voted out of CBS's Big Brother All Stars is Alison from season four. Alison has an amazing body and is one of the best players of the game ever. The fact that she is so dangerous with the fact that she played the game too hard too early is most likely why she is out. They showed Alisons new boyfriend who seemed very gulible when he said Alison was innocent and misunderstood in season four of Big Brother; My guess is he has never seen the DVD's but i wish them both luck anyway. In tonights Head Of Household competition Kasar won and became the HOH when means that season six is in control, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Im glad that Dan Rather found a new job but my question is do we really want to see Dan Rather in high-definition?

Futurama To Return With New Episodes

The quirky animated show Futurama is to return to television with thirteen new episodes on cables Comedy Central. The show produced by Matt Groening and produced by 20th Century Fox Television will premiere in 2008 with the original cast returning as well. I enjoyed this weird cartoon about a guy from now who lives in the future with robots and others and I look forward to its return

Battlestar Galactica Snubbed By Emmys?

One of my favorite shows Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi channel in my opinion was snubbed by the nomination commitee of The 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The show got three nominations for costume design, single camera sound mixing and special effects. The show didn't get any nominations for acting or writing which I think is a shame because in both categories this show excels. The fact that the show is not your conventional drama and also the fact it is on Sci-Fi which the older members may not watch, hurt the shows chances with nomination commitee voters.

Dan Rather Appears On CNN not CBS

Dan Rather the former longtime CBS correspondant and anchor of the CBS Evenning News appeared recently on television to talk about visiting North Korea last October for CBS's 60 Minutes. The interesting part about the story is that he talked about it on CNN on the show 360 With Anderson Cooper. Dan Rather left CBS after his contract wasn't renewed and I wonder by appearing on CNN was he sending a signal to CBS or maybe he was appearing their because a CBS show wouldn't book him.
