CBS Promotes Fall Lineup With Bluetooth

The television network today announced plans for a new interactive marketing campaign that will use Bluetooth-enabled billboards at New Yorks Grand Central Terminal train station to beam video clips from its fall primetime lineup to the Bluetooth-enabled cell phones, smart phones and PDAs of harried commuters -- but only if they agree to it.

Fox News Ratings Take A Nosedive

Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall.

HBO setting up 'Entourage' as their next big show; lot of episodes coming

The 3rd season finale just aired and they are already filming 8 more episodes that HBO was planning on showing in January after 'The Sopranos' (to hook more viewers), both will now likely be seen in March, with the possibility of another (5th) 12 to 13-episode season for 'Entourage' starting just a few months later in the summer!

ESPNU.com is designed to be a companion for the ESPNU television network, the company said. It will include news, scores, columns, video and audio highlights, podcasts and the live streaming of games. Emmys To Pay Tribute To Spelling

This Sunday on NBC the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will pay tribute to the late television producer Aaron Spelling. The shows he produced over the years include so of televisions biggest hits and includes shows like Love Boat, Mod Squad, Charlies Angels, Dynasty and up to more recent shows such as 7th Heaven and Charmed. Aaron died at the age of 83 in June of this year.

James Gandolfini or better known as Tony Soprano on The Soprano's has signed a three year production deal with HBO the channel which carries the show.

Britneys Husbands TV Performance Panned

Kevin Federline or as his more widely known as Britney Spears husband made his rap debut on last nights Teen Choice Awards on Fox. Online today many people made mocking comments about his performance. I'm not a rap fan but I didn't it was as bad as the comments but I do think he should give up the rap career. The only reason he has a rap career is because he is married to Britney and she is always going to overshadow him. I give him credit for trying on national television but he should go back to being Mr Spears.

Stargate SG-1 Cancelled !!!

The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show's milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.

CBS to start streaming prime-time shows

CBS will begin showing episodes of several new and returning prime-time shows for free on the Internet, becoming the second network to do so. The network said that starting next month it will begin streaming episodes of a new show, "Jericho," along with "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY," "Numbers" and "Survivor."

ABC Sports Name To Be Replaced With ESPN

Starting in September on ABC the name ABC Sports is being replaced by the ESPN brand. Instead of ABC Sports the new name is ESPN On ABC and the former brand that began in the 60's on such shows as Wide World Of Sports and Monday Night Football will pass in to the history books. From a business point of view it makes sense for all there cable and broadcast sports to be under one brand.

ABC announced that it has cancelled another summer show, this time its "One Ocean View". The show i guess was surposed to be a docu-soap part reality part soap opera i guess. From the commercials they were running it was tough to tell what the show was about.

Sopranos To Be First Show On HD DVD

The HBO hit "The Sopranos" sixth season is going to be first television show to be released on the new high definition format called HD DVD. The HD DVD will be released on November 7th of this year which is the same day that the regular DVD will be released in the US. The cost for the HD DVD will be $129.99 which is $30 more than the regular dvd set. The BLU-Ray DVD which is a competive high definition from Sony will be released in 2007.

Laguna Spinoff The Hills Will Be Back

MTV has renewed the "Laguna Beach" spinoff "The Hills" for a second season starting in 2007. The show follows Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad as she moves north to Los Angeles and makes new friends and, forges a new live outside Orange County.
